Day 1: Tirana – The Vibrant Capital

After your arrival at the airport and hotel check-in, your guide will take you on a guided tour towards Petrelë. This village with a beautiful castle is located at the elevation of 500m above sea level, which is only 15 km from Tirana. The fort of Persqop, which is a relict of the Illyrian era, is also located in Petrelë.
Enjoy our dinner at a traditional restaurant in the Castle of Petrelë. Afterward, you will head back to your accommodation in Tirana.

Day 2: Shkodra and Theth – the oldest village in the Albanian Alps

After breakfast, you will transfer to the biggest city of Northern Albania – Shkodra. During the guided tour you will see the main attractions of Shkoder and have lunch in a traditional restaurant.
In the afternoon we will continue our trip to Theth.

For the night we will stay in a cozy guesthouse with shared rooms in the beautiful village of Theth, which is a lovely historical site. Dinner will be served in the traditional mountain way by the owners of the guesthouse. It is an amazing opportunity to dive into the Albanian culture, isn’t it?

Day 3: Theth – The Rocky Miracle

Having breakfast, we will take a walk through the village and visit a 100-year old Catholic church with a rich history. Another attraction you will visit in advance is the stone-made Tower.
Next, let’s go hiking towards the gorge and the Grunas Waterfall, which has an astonishing natural landscapes.

Afterward, you will have time to visit the famous “Blue Eye,” which is a natural water phenomenon that will keep your breath away.
Back in Theth, we will transfer to Shkoder, where dinner and accommodation are waiting for us.

Day 4: Valbona Valley – The Wild And Romantic

After breakfast, the group will transfer to Koman, where the ferry is going to be taken. It will take a couple of hours to travel along Koman Lake up to Fierza.
From here the trip will continue by car up to Valbona Village. Valbona is the main settlement of the beautiful Valbona National Park. After a nice lunch in the historical town of Valbona, you will hike towards an astonishing meadow. Here the group will have a break and time to take some photos of the fantastic views before our hiking back to the guesthouse.

Day 5: Rugova Mountain in Kosovo

Let’s have breakfast and drive towards Kosovo and the spectacular Rugova Gorge. The hike of the day will begin in the vicinity of the village Drelaj in the Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park  and continues up to a place called Liqenat in Kuçista. The walk will take you about 5 hours in total, and the path is easy to walk on. After a long day full of beautiful impressions from your hike, you will have dinner and accommodation in a guesthouse in Kuçistë.

Day 6: Cultural discovery in Prizren

After having breakfast in Kuçistë you will transfer to the medieval Orthodox Christian monastery in Decani. Keep in mind, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage.
Then we will drive to Prizren to explore its multicultural history after lunch in a traditional restaurant in the Old Town.
Afterward, you will join a guided tour around Prizren, where you will know more about the history and culture of the city and visit the main attractions. When the tour is over you will leave Prizren towards the Sharri Mountains for the last stop of the day. Dinner and accommodation will be in a beautiful hotel just in the middle of the mountains.

Day 7: Tirana and Dajti Mountain

The group will leave the Sharri Mountains towards Tirana after breakfast.
In Tirana, we will take a cable car ride to Dajti Mountain. From its height of 1050m, you will experience a magnificent view of Tirana, Durrës and the whole central-western Adriatic coast of Albania. On top of Dajti Mountain, you will have a wonderful dinner before returning to Tirana for the night.

Part 1 : Ancient spirit of Albania

Day 1: Tirana

We provide transfer from the Tirana International Airport to the city, where we will visit the National Museum of History. Afterward, you will have a guided tour around the major sites of Tirana, including the colorful buildings.

Day 2: Tirana – Apollonia – Vlora

We will visit the archaeological site of Apollonia. Having walked around, we will move on to Vlora for our overnight stay.

Day 3: Vlora – Saranda – Butrint

Llogara National Park is a spectacular area on the way to Saranda, and we’ll go through it. Passing through Saranda, we will continue driving Buntrint, which belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage. Interesting to know, Butrint is considered to be the best archaeological site in Albania, and one of the most important in the Balkans.

Day 4: Saranda – Mesopotamia Monastery – Gjirokaster

Let’s depart for Gjirokaster, a museum town under the protection of UNESCO. Afterward, in Gjirokastra we are going visit the fortress part, Arms Museum, and Ethnographic Museums.

Day 5: Gjirokaster – Berat

The most beautiful site of the UNESCO Heritage in Albania is the Old Town of Berat. It is a remaining of the Ottoman architecture in Albania, which is highly appreciated by tourists.
Nothing more to say, up in the Berat Castle, the view to the city is fantastic!

Part 2: Cultural Heritage of Macedonia

Day 6: Berat – Elbasan – Ohrid

Departing for Macedonia, we will have a stop in Elbasan to visit the castle.
Soon after that, we will cross the border. Our journey in Macedonia will start from Struga. This town is known for its Black Drin River flows. It is nearby of the famous Lake Ohrid.

Day 7: Ohrid

We visit Saint Sofia Church, a traditional Orthodox Byzantine church, dominating in the Old Town. It demonstrates the link between Byzantine and Italian Renaissance art. Also, we won’t avoid Saint Panteleimon Church, the Holy Virgin of Peribleptos Church, Icon Gallery, and. of course, Old Market.

Day 8: Ohrid – Stobi – Skopje

First, we will drive to Stobi, an archaeological site in Macedonia. Then, it’s time to depart for Skopje. Charge your camera – there are lots of monuments in the city.
Let’s visit the Old Turkish Market, Mahmut Pasha Hammam, the Memorial House of Mother Teresa, the stone bridge and even the Square of Macedonia.

Part 3: Tastes of Kosovo

Day 9: Skopje – Gracanica Monastery – Ulpiana – Prishtina

Let’s discover a gorgeous Gadima Cave. Shortly after, we will visit the Kosovo Battlefield and Sultan Murat’s grave, which remains the history of 1389. Gracanica and Ulpiana will be on our way to the capital.

Day 10: Prishtina – Prizren – Rahoveci Wine Tour – Decan Monastery – Peja

Visit Prizren, which is one of the most beautiful open-air towns in Kosovo. Let’s taste Rahoveci renowned wines; afterward, head towards Peja.

Part 4: Landscapes of Montenegro

Day 11: Peja – Cetinje – Budva

Let’s drive to Northwest Kosovo and Montenegro take us to Kolašin which is Montenegro’s most famous ski resort.
We are not planning to spend much time in the capital Podgorica. It worth to go to the seaside.
We will go to Budva that is the gem of the Adriatic through cultural Cetinje, which was founded in the 15th century.

Day 12: Budva – Kotor – Budva

The Old Town of Kotor deserves your attention. Located at the Boko-Kotor Bay, it is the UNESCO Heritage Site. In the evening we will come back to Budva.

Day 13: Budva – Shkoder – Tirana

On the way back to Albania, we will stop for a photo at the Sveti Stefan Island. Afterward, proceed to Shkoder, which is the center of Roman Catholicism in Albania. Overnight stay will be in Tirana.

Day 14: Departure Day

Day 1: Tirana – Vlora – Himara

Saranda is going to be our final stop on the southern coast of Albania. We’ll stay at the beach during the afternoon and have dinner here. After dinner, feel the rhythm of the nightlife in Saranda before going to your hotel.

Day 3: Gjirokaster – Tirana

After breakfast, we’ll move to the Blue Eye, which is one of the most beautiful sights Albania. It’s a surprising natural spring coming from underground. The Blue Eye is famous for its clear water, flowing from the depth of 50 meters.

Next, our driver will bring us to Gjirokaster, an ancient city in the historical region of Epirus. Nestled in a valley of the Gjere Mountain, Gjirokaster is a town between the Drino River and beautiful houses in stones. Prepare to walk along the steep streets.

Wander the ruins of the Gjirokaster Castle, which hosts to a military museum. It includes artillery items left from German and Italian soldiers since the Communist times. There are remainings the struggle between the power of the Communist and Capitalist regimes.

Enjoy lunch in the ancient city and then finish the tour with a stop in Tirana.

Day 1: Tirana

After your arrival to Tirana and hotel check-in, your guide will take you around the city. If you arrive in the morning, you will have time visit the National Historical Museum, introducing artifacts since the Prehistoric times, and Ethem Bey Mosque in the center. In the evening you can go to Blloku Street- the boiling heart of the capital with the best restaurants bars and pubs of Tirana.

Day 2: Tirana – Kruja – Shkoder – Pearl of the North

First, we will go to the birthplace of the Albanian national hero Skanderbeg in Kruja. We will visit Kruja Castle, Scanderbeg Museum, and Ethnographic Museum. You will walk through the Kruja Old Market (called bazaar) with its typical architectural style.
Once you have seen everything in beautiful Kruja, we will drive you to Shkoder – the largest city in the Northern Albania and one of the oldest cities in Balkans. Here you will visit the legendary Rozafa Castle and take in the superb view of the Skadar Lake and the Albanian Alps that surround the city.
We will stop for lunch in an exceptional corner of Shkoder – Shiroka, where the Skadar Lake and Buna River lies aside. The traditional Albanian cuisine has a different taste here.
After lunch, we will stop for a short walk along the lake and visit National Museum of Photography “Marubi” preserving historical pieces since the 1870s.

Day 3: Shkoder – Theth National Park

After breakfast, we will drive up through the picturesque Theth National Park. On the way up, there will be a stop at the cafe Thore Pass at the elevation of 1.685m above the sea level with spectacular views of the Theth Valley.
After arrival in Theth, the rest of the day we will spend around the area enjoying the charm of the village known for its stunning nature and traditional wooden-tiled houses.

Day 4: Theth

On your second day in Theth, you are going to visit some of the most beautiful natural attractions in Albania, which have no comparison.
After either a 30-minute drive or 2.5-hour walk, we will be at the famous “Blue Eye”, which is a natural water phenomenon that will keep your breath away.

After some time at the “Blue Eye,” the tour will be continued to see the waterfall and the Canyon of Theth. This day of exploring nature and enjoying the outdoors will have you ready for the wonderful dinner and accommodation that is going to await us back at the guest house.

Day 5: Theth – Valbona

Day 1: Tirana Airport – Apollonia – Vlora 

After the pickup at the Tirana International Airport, we will start our journey towards Vlora. Let’s make a stop at the Ardenica Monastery dating to 1417.

Proceed to the ancient city of Apollonia situated on the famous Via Egnatia. Did you know, it was one of the most important cities during the Roman times?

Afterward, the group will move to Vlora, the town of Albanian Independence. It is well-known for its hospitality and turquoise water beaches. Your dinner and accommodation will be there.

Day 2: Vlora – Butrint – Saranda

After breakfast, we will depart to Saranda. The drive will be along the Albanian Riviera with a beautiful view of the Ionic Sea. Stunning landscapes are awaiting us at Llogara Pass, about 1000 meters above sea level.
The group will continue going to Saranda where we will visit the ancient city of Butrint, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city was first settled by the Illyrian tribe of Caonians and was continuously inhabited for centuries forming archaeological layers of passing civilizations.
Now it is on a beautiful peninsula among dense vegetation of the Butrint National Park. We will have dinner and an overnight stay in Saranda.

Day 3: Saranda – Gjirokaster – Berat 

In the morning, the group will go by our minibus to Berat. We will have a stop in Gjirokaster. This city also belongs to UNESCO thanks to its distinct architecture. We are going to visit the Gjirokaster Fortress, which dominates the town. Today it is used as the venue for the National Festival of Folk Songs and Dance and has a Museum with weapons from the WWII.
Afterward, you will see the Ethnographic Museum, which is also the birth house of the Albanian dictator Enver Hoxha.
Let’s have lunch in a great traditional restaurant. After the meal, we’ll depart to Berat, so-called “The 1000 windows city” is a UNESCO Heritage site. In the afternoon you would explore the center of Berat independently. We’ll stay here at night.

Day 4:  Berat – Durres – Tirana

After breakfast, we’re going to visit Berat Castle and Onufri Museum. The castle is particularly impressive Some local people still live within the castle walls in their traditional houses as their ancestors did for centuries. 7 churches of 40 have remained there. One of them is turned into Onufri Museum. Onufri was an Albanian Icon master painter of the 16th century who painted many Orthodox churches in Albania and Greece and Venice.
After this cultural experience, we will depart to Durres to stop for lunch by the seaside. Durres is one of the oldest and largest cities in Albania (it’s founded in 627 B.C.).
We take a sightseeing tour of the Amphitheatre situated in the middle of the modern city in an inhabited area.Afterward, we will continue to Tirana and take a sightseeing tour of the highlights. We’ll stay overnight in Tirana.

Day 5: Tirana – Kruja – Koman Lake – Valbona

After an early breakfast, we will start our journey to Valbona – the hidden gem of Albania. Located in the heart of the Alps, tourists admire Valbona for its fresh air and crystalline water.
On the way, we will stop in Kruja Castle, the birthplace of the Albanian hero Skanderbeg. The way to the castle comes through the characteristic old bazaar. Visit the Skanderbeg Museum, and we will move forward.
Let’s go to the north. We will stop a coffee at the Koman Lake, while we wait for the ferry. The Koman Lake is one of the best lake trips in the world and a must-see attraction in the Balkans.
After two hours of breathtaking landscapes fiords of the Koman Lake, we drive to our hotel in Valbona.
In the evening we will have a traditional Albanian alpine dinner.

Day 6: Valbona – Prizren – Tirana

After breakfast in the refreshing Valbona, we will head to Prizren in Kosovo. It is one of the most beautiful cities of Kosovo with distinctive architecture.
After the visit of the old town and market, we continue our journey to Tirana, where we accommodate at the hotel. You would spend the night in Tirana exploring the city or having a cup of high-quality espresso.
