Join our 14-day tour to the best places of the Balkan Peninsula. On the way we will visit Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, and Montenegro. Even though these countries are located nearby, they are very different. And still they all remain the true Balkan spirit, which you are seeking.

Albania offers a unique mixture of cultural elements like cuisine, abundant and well-preserved traditions, a great history, with rich archaeological legacy and three UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Macedonia has the rarest religious relics nearby the Ohrid Lake. Moreover, it has the biggest Icon museum in the region.

Kosovo is the newest state in Europe, where we combine religious monuments with the tasting of wine and local foods.

Montenegro has made the name for itself, based on its wild natural beauty.

Itinerary: Tirana – Vlora – Saranda – Gijerokaster – Berat – Elbasan – Ohrid – Skopje – Prishtina – Prizren – Kolashin – Podgorica – Cetinje – Budva – Kotor – Shkoder – Tirana.

Part 1 : Ancient spirit of Albania

Day 1: Tirana

We provide transfer from the Tirana International Airport to the city, where we will visit the National Museum of History. Afterward, you will have a guided tour around the major sites of Tirana, including the colorful buildings.

Day 2: Tirana – Apollonia – Vlora

We will visit the archaeological site of Apollonia. Having walked around, we will move on to Vlora for our overnight stay.

Day 3: Vlora – Saranda – Butrint

Llogara National Park is a spectacular area on the way to Saranda, and we’ll go through it. Passing through Saranda, we will continue driving Buntrint, which belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage. Interesting to know, Butrint is considered to be the best archaeological site in Albania, and one of the most important in the Balkans.

Day 4: Saranda – Mesopotamia Monastery – Gjirokaster

Let’s depart for Gjirokaster, a museum town under the protection of UNESCO. Afterward, in Gjirokastra we are going visit the fortress part, Arms Museum, and Ethnographic Museums.

Day 5: Gjirokaster – Berat

The most beautiful site of the UNESCO Heritage in Albania is the Old Town of Berat. It is a remaining of the Ottoman architecture in Albania, which is highly appreciated by tourists.
Nothing more to say, up in the Berat Castle, the view to the city is fantastic!

Part 2: Cultural Heritage of Macedonia

Day 6: Berat – Elbasan – Ohrid

Departing for Macedonia, we will have a stop in Elbasan to visit the castle.
Soon after that, we will cross the border. Our journey in Macedonia will start from Struga. This town is known for its Black Drin River flows. It is nearby of the famous Lake Ohrid.

Day 7: Ohrid

We visit Saint Sofia Church, a traditional Orthodox Byzantine church, dominating in the Old Town. It demonstrates the link between Byzantine and Italian Renaissance art. Also, we won’t avoid Saint Panteleimon Church, the Holy Virgin of Peribleptos Church, Icon Gallery, and. of course, Old Market.

 

Day 8: Ohrid – Stobi – Skopje

First, we will drive to Stobi, an archaeological site in Macedonia. Then, it’s time to depart for Skopje. Charge your camera – there are lots of monuments in the city.
Let’s visit the Old Turkish Market, Mahmut Pasha Hammam, the Memorial House of Mother Teresa, the stone bridge and even the Square of Macedonia.

Part 3: Tastes of Kosovo

Day 9: Skopje – Gracanica Monastery – Ulpiana – Prishtina

Let’s discover a gorgeous Gadima Cave. Shortly after, we will visit the Kosovo Battlefield and Sultan Murat’s grave, which remains the history of 1389. Gracanica and Ulpiana will be on our way to the capital.

Day 10: Prishtina – Prizren – Rahoveci Wine Tour – Decan Monastery – Peja

Visit Prizren, which is one of the most beautiful open-air towns in Kosovo. Let’s taste Rahoveci renowned wines; afterward, head towards Peja.

Part 4: Landscapes of Montenegro

Day 11: Peja – Cetinje – Budva

Let’s drive to Northwest Kosovo and Montenegro take us to Kolašin which is Montenegro’s most famous ski resort.
We are not planning to spend much time in the capital Podgorica. It worth to go to the seaside.
We will go to Budva that is the gem of the Adriatic through cultural Cetinje, which was founded in the 15th century.

Day 12: Budva – Kotor – Budva

The Old Town of Kotor deserves your attention. Located at the Boko-Kotor Bay, it is the UNESCO Heritage Site. In the evening we will come back to Budva.

Day 13: Budva – Shkoder – Tirana

On the way back to Albania, we will stop for a photo at the Sveti Stefan Island. Afterward, proceed to Shkoder, which is the center of Roman Catholicism in Albania. Overnight stay will be in Tirana.

Day 14: Departure Day

Unfortunately, it is time to say good bye. Our transfer will drop-off you to the Tirana International Airport. If you want to spend more time in the city, feel free to make your plan.
